2017 Road Rally A Huge Success!

A BIG THANK YOU FROM THE ORGANIZERS OF THE ROAD RALLY This years Road Rally was a huge success! We would like to extend a big thank you to all of those who made this possible. First, to the Rod and Gun Club and especially John Bruce for running the bar.

Local Hockey Star Playing In National Tournament

Our local hockey star Cody Savey who is a Seattle Thunderbirds prospect, will be playing for team B.C. at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championship this week.  We’ll keep you posted how he does!

 50 years ago Gold River Elementary opened it’s doors and on Thursday May 4th at 2:30pm we would like to get together to celebrate 50 years of education!!! Assembly: Songs and Stories @ 2:40pm Bike Parade and Burgers: approx. 3:15pm Field Games and Fun: approx 3:30pm Jello Eating Contest Finale approx. 5:30pm 
(with all star challengers Katrina Kornylo and Brenda Laroche)
Extra Bus Run: approx 6pm

Come one come all!!! 
(please bring your own water bottle and a blanket or lawn chair)
In case of bad weather games will be modified and held in the gym.
 

Find Your Inner Artist At The Legion

We are ready to start our paint night's.  This will be our first painting, Judy Anne Doucette Lavioletter,  will be our instructor, our first night will be Wednesday May 17th price is $35. Drop into the legion and reserve your spot dead line will be the 15th, 12 to 15 per party any questions call. Grace Hoffman, we hope to have at least two paint night\s per month.

A Tight Race For Gold River Voters

A big thank you to everyone who participated in our poll.  We asked Gold River who they would support in the election and the results are in.  The Liberals and the Green Party are tied at 33% with the NDP  close third at 28%.  6% said they would not vote in the election.

Council Approves funding For Wood to Wonder

Council approved the request from Sharon Charette, on behalf of the Wood to Wonder Carving Competition for $5,000 for the 2017 Wood to Wonder Carving event and a further $5,000 commitment to the 2018 event, subject to the 2018 budget and a report to Council on the 2017 event.
